The school also runs short-term programs for groups or individual international students all year round. Courses can be specially designed upon request. Individual short-term students are accepted with no time restriction and are to be placed in appropriate classes. Students who have completed all courses and passed the final examination will obtain the Certificate for the Completion of Chinese Training Program issued by Honghe University.
Introduction
Honghe University is one of 57 examination spots in China. HU organizes the international students to attend HSK in every May and December. To help the students get good score in HSK HU runs the pre-HSK training courses supervised by experienced teachers. We use the textbook of newest edition, and arrange simulation tests. Students attending the courses will have the opportunity to familiarize them with the tests. With the help of our teachers, student will be able to improve their skills and enhance their ability. The course arranges around 10 lectures and lessons including simulation tests. Teachers will explain “Listening Comprehension”, “Grammatical Structure”, “Reading Comprehension” and “Blank-Filling” of the text papers.
Schedule
The training course schedule will be adjusted to meet students’ needs every semester.
Tuition
Students need to pay extra tuition if require to take the training course.

Overview
Honghe University is situated in Mengzi of Yunnan Province, the capital city of Honghe Hani & Yi Autonomous Prefecture. Honghe Prefecture, adjacent to Vietnam, has a modern infrastructure as well as an abundance of rich natural resources. As far as its tourism is concerned, there are many world-renowned scenic spots like the terraced fields of Yuanyang, The Confucian Temple in Jianshui, and Alu Ancient Limestone Cave in Luxi. Mengzi, which has been called “The Pearl of Southern Yunnan”, has historically been of great strategic importance, both educationally and commercially.
Honghe University has been striving to develop itself into not only a regional institution actively serving Honghe Prefecture but also an International center of educational excellence by cultivating deep relationship with Asia, as well as forming universities and organizations around the world.
Honghe University (HU) offers 3-6week Short-term Language & Culture Programs filled with exciting, practical learning activities and multicultural experiences designed to help international students improve their Chinese communication skills and cultural understanding to China.
Classes are held on the beautiful HU campus, usually in the morning. Every afternoon from Monday to Friday students will take part in some free activities with their Chinese friends, which they can practice what they have learned in a real Chinese environment. Two or three times field trips to local scenic spots or host family activities will be organized. It is a good chance for them to experience the exotic and unique culture and customs.
